Activities Widget Issue on Dashboard

Former Member
Hi All
I am wondering if anyone else is having the same issue with the Activities Widget on the Dashboard page.
The last two days the map on the widget has dissappeared, as well as the segment icon, and been replaced with a heart rate graph.
Scrolling back, the map is still present for activities before the 2 days, and all is good on the full page of the activitiy
Is there anything I am doing or is the another little bug in connect?

This issue has been escalated and we are working to resolve this as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience in the meantime.

How long will you solve the problem it will take ?

HR displayed in Activity widget window instead of route map

Ditto to the others on this thread. Last time I saw a map was on the 3rd March 2017. Since then both my Forerunner 25 and Edge 800 display the HR data by default after I download data. When I do not have my HR monitor chest band on, the widget shows a blank screen.

    Garmin Connect tile problem

    Hi Folks,

The activites tile on my Garmin Connect has been working fine ever since I started. Last week instead of showing my activity it shows my heart rate graph as a red graph. I don't know how it got there and I can't find a way to get rid of it or better still change it back to show my activity - can anyone help?

    Heart Rate on Activity Widget

Sigh, seems Garmin can't stop introducing issues into their s/w products. Very frustrating having this sort of stuff appear on websites. Any ETA on remediation?
  • Garmin Sucking Lately...

+1. They remove the search feature from activities when that breaks. Yay Garmin, awesome fix! Now maps on Dashboard Activities. Bah, who needs them? We'd decided it's more important you see your heart rate data! What about links breaking all the time and for some reason trying to open up the old classic interface? Anyone having that problem? Come on Garmin. These aren't cheap devices… We pay a premium for them, and expect them to work. Nothing I hate more than paying to be a BETA tester. This ain't the Sunset Strip in the 80's folks.

Correction: not when, but long after it stopped working properly.

Interesting rhetoric. We're all affected by the issue, and yes, it's obviously a defect that wasn't there before and therefore avoidable if Garmin had taken more care, but personally I don't see what the devastating impact on users is.

Is it that you couldn't tell one uploaded activity from another in spite of the name, date, activity type, etc. still showing in the Activities widget today, but rely on the map to help you identify the activity at a glance? Or does it simply serve as an unwelcome reminder that what you have access to (i.e. Garmin Connect) isn't perfect, and as a user you're completely powerless to do anything about it?

Sure, but with regard to this issue the devices are properly capturing the GPS information for timed activities and uploading them in the FIT files they produce.

I daresay that, like myself, you aren't paying any subscription fee for the ongoing use of the cloud-based Garmin Connect service.
  • i found that the vo2 max also broken down together with the map.. anyone having that same problem showing your vo2 max as the bare minimum amount only? or it just me... :p

I'm not sure what you mean by that. My VO2Max is showing in Garmin Connect online exactly as my FR630 told me after my run earlier today.

maybe it's just me, cause my vo2max drop from 46 to 43 since the map gone missing and never move up again eventhough i'm basically doing the same amount of workout and pace as well.. will see how things goes for the next few weeks.. ;)
  • Map preview missing from Activities (full view) widget on GC dashboard

It seems for every issue solved by Garmin on GC, a new one is created !

For me, all my cycling activites started showing an HR graph instead of a map since the 16th of March.
