Why do walking activities in connect not show step count.I guess it depends on whether the activity was recorded in such a way that the step count was in the FIT file uploaded to Garmin Connect. There is no Walk activity profile on my FR235, but if I record a walk with the Run activity profile, upload the completed activity, and then change the activity type to walking in Garmin Connect online, I can still see the average stride length (including for individual splits).
True but the steps shown in the report is a calculated figure based on the division of distance by the assumed stride length. There have been many times when the steps associated with an activity were more than what I had in total for the day at that point.
