Export Multiple Items with all data

I want to export a month's worth of data from my connect account into an external file. Is it possible to do this and still get the track data for each activity or will I need to export each activity individually?
  • You will need to export each activity individually to gpx or tcx file. This is the reason I do this as part of my daily routine.
  • It helps if you copy the FIT files to your computer as you go. You can then clear your device without worrying about losing data.

I have copies of all my TCX files, all bar a few of the files from my old Polar RCX5 and all files from my M450 and V650. For those (and the missing RCX5 files) I had to download the TCX files from Polar Flow. That took me some time.

If you click the gear icon in the top right of the activity screen, you can export the original file or export to TCX or GPX. You will probably want to use the original FIT files, or TCX files.

I somehow lost a big chunk of .fit files (176 spanning 16 months). Not on my device and not on my computer. Somehow I missed copying these over somewhere.

How can I download 176 original files without doing it one-by-one?

Aye. This seems totally outrageous to me. Where's the logic in not implementing this feature? Looks like we need to do them one-by-one. Yeay.

  • As already written previously, you can simply download all activity fit files from the watch in a single operation. Just connect to the watch with the USB cable, and copy the files from the activities folder. Is that not good enough?

  • How do I access the "activities folder"? I tried Garmin Express but it did not work.

Try File Exporer (if on Windows), or any other file manager able to access external USB storages

  • I can only see 7 *.fit files unter "This PC\vívoactive 3 Music\Primary\GARMIN\Activity" from the last 3 days.

What must I do to convert FIT to GPX or TCX files?

  • Depends on what you want to use it for. In many cases you do not need to convert it - plenty of services and applications can work with FIT files directly, so if your app does not accept FIT files, you can try finding an alternative one. You can also export the activites in the GPX or TCX format drirectly from Garmin Connect idividually or using a bulk script (as recommended in the other thread you posted to). Or you can google up a FIT / GPX converter
