Goals - "Any Activity Type" Missing

I set up goals for the week every Sunday. One of them is the goal for how many hours I want to exercise during the week. For that goal, I use "Any Activity Type". This week it appears to be missing as a choice. There's "Uncategorized" but I'm thinking that won't work for my purposes. Am I just not seeing it or is "Any Activity Type" really gone for good?
  • I found a way to get "Any Activity Type". Instead of setting your goals in the "goals" section, go to "calendar". On the left side of the page where it says "goals", you can click to add a goal. If you do it there, "any activity type" is an option. I set several goals using that on Monday and they are working great.

Perfect solution! Though it really would be nice if Garmin could add this functionality back in the Goals section.

Noted the same. What a relief :). Hoping that they will fix the goals section also but I can live with this solution also .

Great solution - happy now - thanks for your insight.

This goes to show that the problem in the goals section has to be a bug - the lists are different and there is no uncategorised in the calendar part of the goal setting.
  • Please reinstate "Any Activity"

This was a good feature which helped to track total time and calories across all events. I am not able to set this goal now as others mentioned. Request Garmin to restore this feature.

    Thanks

    Any Activity - Alternate Solution

Thank you NDIrish, like many disappointment with Garmin taking this functionality away and hope it is reinstated. Alternate solution works just as well.

Thank you! Thank you! I was able to set annual and monthly goals again.
Meanwhile I got this reply from Garmin Support

Thank you for contacting Garmin International, I will be happy to help you today.

We are not able to set the annual goal to any activity type currently. I can add you to the case we have going on. They will email you once it is complete and have a fix.

Thanks for the help - I am going set goals for a few months before it disappear :-)
