Personal records are not updated

My new personal records are not updated in Garmin Connect. Anyone know how I can force this.

    also, had same issues, made two new personal bests this week,, neither of them have shown to be my new updated best and PB remains as per activity in November... :(:(

    Set them manually for now, I guess.

    Hi,
    I can confirm I was able to change the name of the activity I had had a problem with. Now it works as it should.

    Yes, it seems to be fixed. I did a PB on 10k today and even though I've renamed it, changed my gear and added a route, it seems to have stuck :-)
  • In the upper right hand corner of the record activity page, hit the gear button, "export original" .fit file to your desktop. Then delete the activity from Connect. Then on the little person icon on the far left, import data, put that .fit file in the box. Hit import. Now all your personal records for that activity will show back up. ie.. 1K, 1mile, 5K, etc. Once you do this, do not edit ANYTHING on the activity. The records will stay put. You will not be able to edit anything on this activity until Garmin fixes the issue, but at least your records stay there. Maybe this new update 9.10 today fixed it, I don't know, haven't tested it yet. Just tested 9.10, not fixed, still can't edit anything and have all records retained.

    That worked for me... guess they resolved whatever the issue was at this point. I think the issue if anything was on the Garmin Connect end of things but appears to be working now. My watch is still on an older software update... I don't like updating Garmin stuff when updates come out. I update my 520 and its doing weird stuff... deleted all my segments, isn't connecting well with my HRM.

    Back on topic, PRs appear to be working now and deleting and re-importing the data forces Garmin Connect to scour the data for PRs. Like others have stated my PR was for a 5K in the middle of a longer run... so making it a PR was a bit more intricate.

    Hi, i just bought myself an Edge 820 computer. I had an old account on Garmin Connect that i logged on to, (last time i had a garmin device was in 2008). I have used Suunto and synked everything to Strava.

    Today i synked all my old data from Strava to Garmin Connect via Tapiriik. Oddly enough one personal record from a recent showed up (Avergage Watt) but farhtest ride and most elevation etc, all of those ar not updated. The records are from a brief period of testing back in 2008. Like fartest ride is 15 km and so on. does it take a while for the database to update or do i have the same issue as you have?
    Is there a fix for this?
  • Garmin's "Solution"

    I complained about my version of this problem earlier in the thread. Though some users have stated the problem is fixed, it is not fixed for me. So, I emailed Garmin Help and received this response, which is not an acceptable solution:

    "Sorry to hear your PR disappeared from the Personal Records after you edited the activity. Whenever an activity is edited after being uploaded to Garmin Connect the system will take it out of the Personal Records section. Then when you manually set it as the PR the system assumed the whole activity is the PR. Then, when you tried to reload the Activity from your watch the system gave you an error message because there is already a file with that time and date on your account.

    I recommend deleting the activity form your Garmin Connect account and then re-adding the activity to Garmin Connect and not editing the Activity.

    You can delete the Activity from Garmin Connect by selecting the Gear icon in the upper right and selecting "Delete"."

    I have not received any response from Garmin regarding my issue. I tried also to into an imported activity to set it as a personal record, however , the option to do so is not there. If i go into an old activity there is a button to set personal record?
    Would it maybe work if i Bulk export Strava GPX files and import them to Garmin?
    The Tapiirk site managed to sync my cativites but there is something wrong as i can not set personal records on those activities.

    I thanked Customer Support for their help and told them their solution of not editing PR activities was unacceptable, and they responded by telling me "this is an issue our Engineering Team is currently working on." Just thought the group would like to know Garmin is aware of the problem and working on it.

    I'm experiencing the same issues mentioned in this thread i.e. PR disappearing when an activity is edited, and there is no way of getting them back..... it is really amazing that something so simple has not been rectified yet.
