Personal records are not updated

My new personal records are not updated in Garmin Connect. Anyone know how I can force this.

Tnx
  • The new record can't revise. It still keep the old record. :(
  • Garmin is getting so incredibly sloppy with feature regression due to bugs on both their watch firmware and Connect.

If they aren't careful and fix all these problems they are going to lose customer base in droves as other makers have finally started to make decent activity watches.

by 2020 they could have a serious income (and jobs) loss if they don't get on top of these problems now
  • So back to the question I raised about the records that disappear on Garmin Connect and the Anaerobic Threshold, I thought it was a problem of the Fenix 3 HR with update 4.0, but it is not so, the anaerobic threshold has reappeared on the clock. It was enough to wait for the famous two minutes pprima press saves as it will go.
As for the records, at least for those made from the beginning of November, appear and remain on the clock and passes regularly to Garmin Connect, but if you try to edit the task done, just to add a name and this has the Records assigned, these disappear from Garmin Connect and you must manually reassign.
    Garmin, solve quickly

    RunningMP,

With the help of other members, I have learned how to accurately update the PRs manually.

    1. Select the activity and assign the desired PR manually, based on PR recorded on the watch.
    2. Go to the PR page and further edit the PR time to match that on the watch.

That does work, but you should do it after you've edited the activity or else it will disappear again. I think the other issue is that PR history might also be impacted by this issue. Anyhow, I'm hoping for a resolution soon.

    Kev

The above solution worked perfectly for me, thanks.

However this is a manual procedure for a supposed premium product/company. It should have worked like this automatically. One think it's for sure: The watch (Fenix 3 in my case) and the Garmin connect are not perfectly syncronized. I have seen this also in other areas, like Heart Rate Zones.
  • Is there maybe a utility that can scan all your fit files and give you similar "best performaces" data

What about the old Garmin Training Center software http://www8.garmin.com/fitness/getting_started_ant_tc_mac.jsp

Or maybe the old FitTrackView http://www.fittrackview.com/

Personal Records disappear after editing activity name, course or category

I've got the same issue with Garmin Connect. Once my activity uploads, I can change my gear ok; but if I change any of the other attributes - activity name, course, or category - it deletes the personal records.

I can export the original activity file, delete the activity on Garmin Connect and re-import it manually and then I get my records back - until I edit again!

Frustrating, as I've always edited my activities to name and categorise them and can no longer do so if I want to retain my PRs.

    Hope it gets fixed soon.

Yes, confirmed. Whatever added/edited at activity than PR is cancelled. Very annoying.
Today I completed 5k race with new PR, I had to change my gear (shoes) and the PR disappeared.
  • Ok so I'm having the same issue too. Got a new PR for cycling last week and the PR disappears if I rename the activity. Glad Garmin are aware of it, wish it would get fixed though.
  • "Running" now reads "[running]"

I started having this same personal records problem after the last update, but I noticed another weird glitch that might be related. In all the modules where the term "Running" appears, like Personal Records, Reports and Segments, it now appears as "[running]" whereas "Cycling" and "Fitness Equipment" still appear correctly. Perhaps there is now a miscommunication between the modules because the data is getting tagged wrong, and it gets ignored or forgotten by the Personal Records module.
  • Yeah I am seeing the same [running] syntax error of sorts as well on the website. My wife is also.

Having the issue on Chrome and IE

Sadly I have not had a PR since Oct 10th... I edited that cycling PR workout (title and notes) and it held in the PR list (40km and Longest).
