When I am trying to export an activity, I get this error:

HTTP Status 403 - You do not have sufficient privileges to view the activity with id 610947649.

type Status report

message You do not have sufficient privileges to view the activity with id 610947649.

description Access to the specified resource (You do not have sufficient privileges to view the activity with id 610947649.) has been forbidden.

I end up going to the old Garmin Connect and exporting from there, but when that goes away then what? Anyone else get this error?

Yeah, I got this for about 2 weeks. I think it was working about two days ago but stopped again today. Frustrating.

Yes, I'm getting it right now. It's annoying and frustrating. I've found that the error appears at times and not at others. I'm using Internet Explorer browser and don't know if I'll have the same results with Chrome or Firefox. I wish I had a solution to this annoyance! Garmin? Got a fix for this?

I'm unable to reproduce this issue. It doesn't appear to be an issue with the specific activity 610947649 either. Is this issue occurring in Firefox, Chrome, and IE?

  • Have had the same issue for several weeks (using IE11). My workaround is logging out of GC, logging in again, then do the export to .tcx.

I have this with Chrome. I can confirm the suggestion above - after logging out and logging in again export works. Question is for how long, it would be annoying to do it everytime.

I am having the exact same problem. I have a new Garmin Forerunner 610 and the initial upload, sync, and downloads all appeared to work fine. However, when I go to the Garmin connect website to analyze data I get the HTTP 403 error. I am on a MacBook Pro using Safari. This device is not nearly as useful without being able to analyze routes and data!!!! I have emailed Garmin and they say they will answer in 3 days. That was 2 days ago. I will let everyone know if/when I get a response. I cannot try the solutions mentioned above as I have never been able to login and I do not know what they mean by tcx.

After giving some thought to this and finding a few other threads on the topic, I googled "garmin connect" and selected a new login web address and it worked. I think Safari kept reloading a cached page with the "HTTP 403" error. Lucy, try a fresh web address such as "connect.garmin.com/modern" and you should get there. Good Luck!

This is still problem for me, not fixed. I created support ticket today. Was there any response for yours? I have to log out and log in every day to make export work. For log in I am automatically redirected by log out to http://connect.garmin.com/en-US/signin Do I need to use another one? Very annoying issue.

It does not work with Firefox nor with Chrome - at the same time.
