Connect Modern on Chrome & IE

I logged in this morning as I do every day. I found that the dashboard is not displaying and the buttons on the left handside do not work. I checked the status tool at https://connect.garmin.com/en-US/status...and everything is green.

I tried clearing the cache and deleting passwords to force a refresh

Nothing works

what gives guys?
  • This is indicative of something in your browser/PC blocking the download. Check all your browser settings and any programs like ad blockers that could be preventing the download.
  • Same problem, last night everything worked, until today but do not see anything, I tried it with Chrome, Edge, Explorer and FireFox and 2 different PC, it is clear that something is wrong and does not always say that they are user settings, at least dates a subsidiary before.

I had the same issue this morning too, with Chrome. I fixed it by disabling the 'Disconnect' add-in for the Garmin domain (though that may be a coincidence)
  • Same issue for me since this morning. It cannot be something related to the browser.
  • Working fine for me.

Do you have automatic updates set for your OS? Perhaps an update has changed something?
  • Effectively linking the cell's all right, while on the PC does not work. Last night had 10 windows updates.
  • No I hadn't any update on my PC. I tried only on Windows OS for the moment (with IE, Firefox and Chrome), this evening I will try on MacOS and Safari... let's see.

The app on the phone is working.
  • Same issue for me since this morning. No Windows Update Installed last days.
  • Same issue for me. No updates to my PC and Connect is not loading in IE nor Chrome.

I can break it/fix it by blacklisting/whitelisting the Garmin domain using the Disconnect plugin. If I 'block tracking sites' then Connect shows no content (other than the header/footer/menus) - once I re-enable the tracking sites the content cells all appear like magic.

I suspect that Garmin have changed something within the Connect website code overnight that breaks it if tracking sites are disabled in any way. This might be done using browser add-ins but could also be a consequence of Internet proxy settings or something in your router or OS settings.

(I could be quite wrong, though)
