Time spent in various heart rate zones

In Garmin connect I can still not access the time spend in the various Heart rate zones. There is a button to click on, but nothing happens. Is there a way to solve this? This request is running for several years already, and every serious sporter want access to this type of data.

In which case every serious sporter would want to acquire a device that supports the feature, I suppose that's what you're implying?

I can see my time spent in zones on Garmin connect. Is it maybe a browser issue? I can also see on my watch (Forerunner 235).

Viewing heartrate zone data on garmin connect should be completely independent to the device you own. It doens' t make sense that I can export my data to strava and view zone data yet garmin only limits the details to the following watches:
    • fenix 3
    • fenix 3 HR
    • epix
    • Forerunner 225
    • Forerunner 230
    • Forerunner 235
    • Forerunner 630
    • Forerunner 920XT

    I agree with "cruzfolmli".
It seems that this is a cynical marketing ploy by Garmin to encourage users to upgrade their devices when the issue could be dealt with in Garmin Connect.
It is interesting to note that the old Garmin software - Training Centre - that Garmin ceased to support a few years ago (although it still works OK) gave "Time in Zones" in tabular form

    Edge

I have an edge 1000, and it seems to be impossible with this machine, although its the latest model in de edge series.

    not a browser issue

No, its not a browser issue. Its not working in any browser. Strange enough the button is there (zones), but when you push it, it gives the same values as under 'heartbeats per minute'.

    Indeed not a browser issue

To have access to these info I upload my .fit files to runalyze.com It's free and shows not only the time spent in zones as well as a histogram showing time spent in percentage of total workout time. So, there's no need to upgrade if all you want is access to this data.

Same Issue on an Edge 1000

I am having the same issue on my Edge 1000 - I can not for the life of me get Time in Heart Rate Zones data to appear in Garmin Connect web portal nor phone app.

It has to be a setting I am missing somewhere, yes?

Sean - you are not "missing anything" except for the fact that Garmin Connect doesn't analyse heart rate zone data. This is done on the device and there is a list of the devices that work earlier in this thread.

It is purely a decision by Garmin NOT to be helpful!

Thanks mickw46 - I think I actually did miss something - the post you refer to that explains which devices do this function. The Edge 1000 is not on that list - strange and disappointing for the such an expensive device.

That explains why when I view an activity, the Time in Heart Rate Zones is always blank...
