(1) The data is often 'out of date' ... it takes several refreshes to force it to update ... it's still opaque to me just what hoops to jump through to make this happen.
(2) The data is inconsistent. "Completed" days take net calories consumed and compare them against a 'break even' value. So if my (Consumed - BMR - active) calories is 500 less than that 'break even' number, then the day's bar shows me to have 500 remaining. I.e. (Break Even) - (Net Calories).
But the bar for "Today" (which is pro-rated - i.e. at noon it will use 50% of BMR) appears not against /that/ number, but against my 'goal'. So, for instance, suppose my goal is 300 less than 'break even' - I'm trying to lose a little weight. The "today" value (when it has properly updated) at noon will be: [(Break Even- 300) - (Net Calories)]/2. This is 150 less than [(Break Even)-(Net Calories)]/2.
In other words, "today's" value and the rest of the graph are measuring two different things.
(3) As with the rest of GC, there is woefully inadequate documentation or explanation of the terms, display elements, and underlying calculations.
Took me weeks to figure out what was going on with the "Calories Remaining" report, particularly given the many recent server/transfer/update glitches and the difficulty in getting the report to refresh.
As a minimal solution, it would be a simple matter, of only a few hours work, to update the 'sidebar' documentation of each dashboard element to provide more information.
