Connect not picking up Segments

I am very disappointed that Garmin is not putting more effort into restoring the Segment feature in Garmin Connect. It has now been two weeks since the error was recognised by Garmin and the Garmin Connect Status page still simply reads:

"DOWN Segments
We are currently experiencing issue (sic) in processing your segment matches. We are actively investigating."

It is really annoying as it was the main reason I bought an expensive Edge device. It is now much harder to compare my progress while I am training plus I do not want to be pushed into paying for an expensive Strava Premium upgrade just because Garmin can't be bothered to fix something that was supposed to be free.

Anyone else fed up?:mad:

  • 3 segments appeared yesterday on GC !

    Yesterday, I did a ride and after having downloaded my course on GC, I saw 3 segments for the first time since 7 months.
    It's a very good news.

    :) Today's ride has 3 segments found :) Could it really be fixed?

    Not "down", just "limited" now.

    Some of my segments are picked up now.
    Could it be fixed...?

    Sort Of Working (Sometimes)

    They have been appearing intermittently. Smashed a Segment today so was keeping my fingers crossed they would be working. Segments were listed (Qty 7), but sadly, there no details of Times or Speeds, just zeros.

    When they have been working, they just appear for very recent rides (did not notice if times and dates were populated). There was just a zero on the Segments Tab against older rides. Did reload an older ride, where I knew that I had smashed a Segment, but then they stopped working again!

    hmm.... gonna have to do a couple segments tonight to tester out! :) lol

    Although a few segments that were working last summer.... appear to have messed up leaderboards. Even though it says 35 activites at the very top... and says my best time/date as well.

    I can barely believe it but after a six months break segments are BACK!!! I just uploaded a run and yes, indeed, segments have been detected! Yeehah.

    leaderboard 30days-view not working

    Garmin Connect detects the segments I ran through and displays a time. However, the segments don´t get listed in the 30day-leaderboard. I see other people though crowding the re-opened segments, but I am left out. It seems I shouldn´t have presented my complains to the customer service... :(

    ok so today i ran through a segment i created and it registered on Connect but i got no time or rank.
    also, there is no leader board despite the fact it's been crossed by 20 people

    what am i doing wrong?
