Connect not picking up Segments

I am very disappointed that Garmin is not putting more effort into restoring the Segment feature in Garmin Connect. It has now been two weeks since the error was recognised by Garmin and the Garmin Connect Status page still simply reads:

"DOWN Segments
We are currently experiencing issue (sic) in processing your segment matches. We are actively investigating."

It is really annoying as it was the main reason I bought an expensive Edge device. It is now much harder to compare my progress while I am training plus I do not want to be pushed into paying for an expensive Strava Premium upgrade just because Garmin can't be bothered to fix something that was supposed to be free.

Anyone else fed up?:mad:
  • Agree - segments are one of their selling points...

    Segments are one of the main reasons I bought my Garmin as well. Hope they start taking segments seriously.

    Please, Garmin.

    Get your plattform stable or fire the whole dev-team and buy strava.
    I'm fed up of buying devices connected to a platform with only 95% uptime.

    Upsetting for sure

    I didn't even realize segs were down. I mapped out a run on the weekend that included four tough segments and ran them as hard as I could. Imagine my disappointment when I synced my 11 mile run and it said no segments were crossed. I hope they are back up soon. I usually flip flop between my inaccurate but fun Nike Running app and my old skooll reliable but embarrassingly huge 2005 Forerunner 301. I have a new Garmin on my Christmas wish list this year so I hope they get things straightened up before then.

    I totally agree with all of you. You work your butt off on a segment one day, and then can't see it.

    I don't use segments, but they updated the app yesterday. Just curious to see if that fixes anything.

    What is really going on with segments? All we get is a poor grammar message saying they are investigating. How about a bit more detail Garmin?

    Starting to think that they are going to default to Strava (with all of its privacy issues).
