Connect not picking up Segments

I am very disappointed that Garmin is not putting more effort into restoring the Segment feature in Garmin Connect. It has now been two weeks since the error was recognised by Garmin and the Garmin Connect Status page still simply reads:

"DOWN Segments
We are currently experiencing issue (sic) in processing your segment matches. We are actively investigating."

It is really annoying as it was the main reason I bought an expensive Edge device. It is now much harder to compare my progress while I am training plus I do not want to be pushed into paying for an expensive Strava Premium upgrade just because Garmin can't be bothered to fix something that was supposed to be free.

Anyone else fed up?:mad:

    Very tedious if we all have to do that and Garmin won't resolve our older activities automatically..

    What's Wrong With Garrmin Connect Segments.

    Has anyone else having a problem with Garmin Connect displaying segments.
    Not being able to view my results for over a week now.
  • Finally back working on today's ride

    Now, will I ever be able to recover the segments lost for the 2 1/2 weeks they were not recorded?

    Segments was shown as being down for 2 or 3 weeks but it is back up it still doesn't seem to be updating for the data that was logged whilst it was down. When Segments was new it took quite a while for the data to be uploaded so maybe that is what is happening ... ie it is slowly churning through the back log of data and it will eventually catch up. I hope so! Please Garmin support can you chime in on this.

    One month of Garmin Segments not working

    HGarmin Segments are still not working - this has now been a known issue for a whole month and with no resolution. Is this a tactic to move everyone to an expensive Strava subscription? :mad:

    So just tried for a PR on a segment yesterday... NO LUCK... looks like it is STILL down.... "No segments crossed..."

    Seriously, its been a month or more now.... how long can it take?


    When the new year hits might have to give up and switch to Strava or just MMR....ugh...

    Now multiple Garmin Connect categories are not working.

    This segment issue is very frustrating. Would be nice if Garmin put up a better explanation rather than a grammatically incorrect "we are currently experiencing issue" statement. Appears that Garmin is just buying time to get out of the segment feature (I agree with post #28 on this one).

    Segments still down I guess

    I've been out in the rain for few hours having a good ride and pushed hard on my local segment, I know I would have posted a PB but not a according to garmin connect I'm still getting "no segments recorded"

    Im glad I checked in here as I did'nt realize there's been a issue with segments, also I think my 40Km PB doesn't seem to work correctly?
