Hi,
I have just found out that in the current version of connect (webbrowser), if you change the beginning and end time to the same, it results inthe field being completely emptied, i.e. there is not data and it will not count against your average.
Hope this helps.
I confirm that it now works like that: if both times (bed time and wake time) are exactly the same, the sleep record is deleted.
With a brand new Garmin Vivoactive4, the sleep tracking is as useless as ever - utterly unreliable. Wouldn’t Garmin do better to just drop the feature?? And is there any way to stop the red and green light show on the back of the watch during the night, apart from switching off the watch completely - or leaving it downstairs??
I too have found times when I wanted to delete a day's sleep period. Numerous times, the watch thinks I've fallen asleep while I'm watching TV. [I get my better "deep sleep" scores while I'm awake than it ever gives me when I'm asleep - LOL]. Twice, when the watch asked me if I was waking up, I replied 'Yes', and that's what created an entirely bogus day's sleep, superceding the night's sleep I was only then about to begin. I've since learned not to tell the watch I was waking up, but the next day, I need to remember to edit the sleep activity and update the time when I actually went to bed. This happens way more often than I wish. Unlike others posting here, I do wear my watch every night, so my averages are only screwed up by the aforementioned two times when Garmin Connect thought I only had 2-3 hours' sleep on those days.
