Remove/delete sleep data from Garmin Connect

Hi,

Is it possible to delete / remove sleeping data from Garmin Connect? I've not found answer from these forums nor Garmin's manuals.

E.g if you don't want to use device, Vivoactive in my case, every night the long time sleep trends gets messed up with wrong information. If you rest device on the table, it counts 8 hours of deep sleep.

I'll bump this up, if someone has an answer to this question.
  • What you can do is in the widget or in the full page sleep graph, edit your sleep start and end times. There are directional arrows to go back or forward a day at a time. Go to the day you want to edit and click the pencil icon to go into edit mode. It will allow you edit the sleep for that night.

What I wonder about is what would you change it to? After all, the night did exist.

Thanks for you answer. I realized that you can edit the total amount of sleep with those arrows too.

The issue I'm trying to solve is misleading long term averages. The Garmin Connect assumes that you wear the device every night. At least I don't like to use it every night. When I leave it to table for a night, it counts 8 hours of deep sleep, which of course if totally wrong data.

Let's assume that I use it for two weeks and leave it on the table for another two weeks. All of the stats show very biased averages then.

Did you finally solved this problem? I am having exactly the same, but I cannot delete the information. You just can edit the time you go to sleep and you wake up. This will not fix the issue with the deep sleep average time...

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

No, I did not find any resolution to this particular issue. Please let me know if you find some kind of workaround

I just found out that if you change the sleeping and wake up time to the same (for instance sleep 00:00 wake up 00:00) the total sleeping time is 0 and it doesn’t affect to the averages.

Is not the best solution, but it does the job...

I hope this helps you out.

I just tried this, and it doesn't work. It records the data as 0 hrs 0 min, and it skews the average accordingly.

Garmin, please give us the option to delete sleep data. This option is available for weight readings, and it would be nice if it was also available for all other types of readings. Because sometimes life gets in the way of proper data collection.

FYI - There is a feedback option in the Garmin Connect app. Use this to submit feature requests.

I would very much welcome the ability to remove data from Connect. It is easy to pollute the data by mistake, but at the moment iimpossible to correct it.

I have the same problem. When I don't wear my watch to bed it still records sleep and I would like to be able to delete those incorrect records. I hope Garmin corrects this oversight in Garmin Connect.

I bump this thread as well! My sleep statistics are crazy due to this problem. I can assure you that I do not sleep 11 hours each night on average...

Garmin - Fix the sleep tracking!

    1. A the moment sleep is recorded even if you do not wear the watch. This should not happen!
    2. Make is possible to remove incorrect sleep recordings.
