Fitness Equipment activities not appearing in reports

From what I can tell, since January 1'st, activity type "Fitness Equipment"(I use it for strength training) is not showing up in the Reports section of Garmin Connect.
For example, "Fitness Equipment" activities in December show up in Reports section. This week I have completed 2 Strength Training activities and none of them show up in Reports. Everything else shows up: running, cycling...

Any ideas!? Thanks!
  • Looks like it stopped working in October. All the Graphs before that are correct for fitness equipment and other. Using a 405cx and just changing the activity from run to what ever it was.

I am using a fenix 3 and the standard app Strength Training.

Here is the answer from Garmin:

Unfortunately the issue you are referring to is something that we are aware of and are working hard towards a resolution for it however we do not have a timeframe for this to be resolved.
    I’m sorry for the inconvenience.

Hope they get it sorted soon, it is frustrating to work out and then been told you didn't work out.

    Same problem/Fenix 3

+1 when GC uploads activity as uncategorized it will no longer show in the reports. And it WAS working before -- October timeframe is when the report failures started.

I have to admit a bit of frustration as this can't really be THAT big a deal to do a quick work-around -- they probably just de-prioritized it in their backlog...

The REAL issue is the activity taxonomy on the device doesn't match what's on GC. Classic amateur hour...
  • It was exactly November 15, 2015. I know because I was the first to report (sorry for the pun) it to Garmin support.

    Hi,
    I have the same problem.
Most of activities are not counted in reports since october. Not only fitness, but also running. Total time of activities does not apper. I did not check the rest

I am doing differentiated trainings and total time spend during a week/month is useful measure ... It would be good to have it back

Can't confirm. My running and fitness equipment is synchronizing correctly. Even my customized activity is synchronizing with the the customized name.

But I am now using a Fenix 3 HR not the Fenix 3
  • Garmin’s way of thinking is shocking. I add a technical gear to all of my activities as an activity counter, which shows how many activities I uploaded to GC. From time to time I do a reconciliation between GC and Sporttracks3.

I realized that a gear can be added only to run, cycling, swim, walk, hike and other. Since I had created my Strength app using the default strength training activity profile of Fenix3 HR, it was excluded and all of my gym (weightlifting) activities were regarded as orphans.

Now I re-created my Strength app using the default other profile and deleted the other Strength app. My loss is the small picture of a weightlifter next to the app name in the app list on my watch, my gain is that my technical gear is added to all of my activities.

Is there anyone here who tried to convince Garmin that GC should let the users automatically add gears to any type of activities????
