Would work perfectly one week ago.

I open my connect app on my iphone
Set my watch to connect on bluetooth
Have a mesage ont the watch saying "Connected"
App on the phone say's then "connected" but within the next second displays an erreur message in red box in the bottom of the screen saying synchronisation failed.

Tried restart my phone, restart the watch, still not working...

anyone having this problem ?
  • Close the app -double click home button and close it. Switch off Fenix by long press on light button. Restart Fenix by pressing Lt button. Restart app then sync. Worked for me. Seems every so often roughly every 2 weeks have to do the above

Daryl - thanks for your reply. I tried it, but no luck. It is wierd, because the Basecamp app reads the tracks fine. Any other suggestions? Are there any menu items I should change on the clock?

I'm really beginning to hate Garmin, and that's sad since I just upgraded to the Forerunner 620 in March.... I have never been able to connect my watch through WiFi, but had at least been able to upload runs through Bluetooth. As of this morning, couldn't even do that. Removed the Connect app from my iPhone 5s (where I'd previously been able to use it) and re-installed it. Now I can't even log into the app on my phone. I can log into GarminConnect online, so I know I'm using the right username and password, just can't log in. Why is this so difficult to use? I'm beginning to wish I'd just stuck with my FR10! I'm using the iPhone 5s, and my ios is version 7.1.2.

After latest update to Edge 510 blutooth sync does´t work anymore. Before that update sync was very reliable and fast with iPhone 6. Now it is impossible to sync with that combo, which is really annoying. Has anyone same problem and solution to this problem?

Where the f*ck are the Garmin support teams on these forums.
I believe that Garmin don't really give a sh*t about the software for some reason and there are alway these stupid bugs in their software.

If I could be bothered, Id try to find out if any other navigation system was better and integrates better with your phones!

    Any suggestions??

    Such BS

My nephew and I have been trying for hours to transfer a course to our 810. Neither one of us have had any luck. Keep getting a "sync failed server error" message. So sick of wasting time with Garmin Connect.
  • More of the same

Am another user having the same issue - both my Forerunner 220 and Edge 810 have the same sync issues. Uploading an activity doesn't seem to be affected if the phone is already paired but trying to sync is a nightmare, takes forever to upload an activity that was done without the phone in attendance and as for sending a course to my 810 before a ride - I have to do that days in advance as turning up for a ride and sending it to the device minutes before is no longer possible.

Please Garmin can you sort this out as a priority, it seems to be an issue with the Connect app rather than device orientated but it's really letting the side down in terms of user experience and what makes it more frustrating is that it used to work just fine. I've just got my FR220 and opted for it because of the mobile connectivity as I'd rather not have to boot up the PC and I like the (supposedly) instant availability of my data.
