My text messages are not displaying on my Fenix 8 51mm AMOLED with 20.29 and iPhone 16 with newest software - is there anything i can do?

After the launch of my latest iPhone update and Garmin software update of 20.28 and 20.29 I can no longer see text messages when they come through on my iPhone on my Garmin Fenix 8 51 mm AMOLED. I recently noticed text messages not coming through and I wasn’t sure if there was something I’m doing wrong or if this is a software issue between Apple and Garmin with both of their latest updates.

    If it was working before the update I would recommend removing the watch from the Connect app and Bluetooth settings to reestablish the connection. To do this open the Connect app > More > Garmin Devices > Fenix 8, click on the top right corner with three dots then select Remove. Once done close out of the app and double check that the device was also removed from Bluetooth settings on the iPhone.

    To re-pair you will need to put the watch in pairing mode by pressing and holding the middle left button on the watch > Settings > Connectivity > Phone > Pair Phone. You would open the Connect app > More > Garmin Devices > Add Device and walk through the steps displayed.
