Why don't you turn off In Focus and just use the At a glance stats if you want to see steps in a smaller format? 

Thank you for the suggestion, I really do appreciate it. However, It’s the same issue. I don’t need a big circle for my heart rate etc. it uses up lots of space. ‘At a glance’ to means one screen, no scrolling.  Before with horizontal lines of data I could see HR, steps, weight, menstrual cycle & activities, pulse yesterday & some of week. Ie > 2X the info, all in ‘one glance’. I see so little info now in ‘one glance’ (I know I can add another stat but don’t want to share that publicly. Thanks again.

Set a smaller font.

You can set the font size in IOS individually for each app.

If you have poor eyesight, make it large;

if you want to see more data, make it small.

even when the font is at the smallest size possible the tiles are still a huge waste of space. 

I know… and when you do do an activity - it’s tiny! 

And I’ve had multiple times where it does not save. Then I retry and retry and end up with the same activity appearing 3 times. 
it is without doubt the worst ‘upgrade’ of any IT system in 35 yrs I’ve experienced such things.

I just updated Garmin connect and wow! I wish I hadn't! The new update and UI is absolutely awful. A terrible use of screen space. Looks like something a ten yrs old would design. I want the old version back!! Hey Garmin, if it works don't fix it! Incredibly disappointing.

Agreed. The new version is absolutely terrible.

I'm seriously considering deleting the connect app altogether, then I'll need to find a device from a different manufacturer.
