Garmin Connect Mobile Updated Home Page

It’s terrible.

  • I personally can’t stand the new user interface because I liked having all my data easily accessible rather than scrolling through a bunch of big blocky widgets. To me, it has made the experience more time-consuming and I find the reduction in data density to be annoying. No disrespect to those who like it though.

  • I don't care whether people love or hate it, everyone has an opinion. I also don't care if people stay with Garmin or if they leave, we all have a choice. Your posts are difficult to ignore because you post the same things every time someone mentions Apple - what apple compares to Epix, then the rest blah blah .... but I will try going forward.

I simply answered your questions about the apple health app and the iOS connect app and the additional functionality that Apple has to offer, and addressed the battery life. I assume that the individual who opted for the Apple Ultra 2 left because of this as well. I did not claim that they left because of the watch. The app and the webpage are now severely lacking what that person needs and wants, much like many other users. While this may not be an acceptable reason to leave Garmin for you it clearly is for others.

I, nor anyone else should simply accept the change and do nothing, everyone should use their voice to demand change, nothing gets improved if no one voices dislike or offers ideas.

Far beyond whether people like the update or not, Garmin should have left in beta a while longer and fixed all the bugs before they forced it on everyone.

And with that I am done, I will ignore all of your posts going forward.

  • I hate the new platform, it’s harder to do a quick scan of the information and there was nothing wrong with the old platform. And why is it so unreliable now? So many outages!

  • I am sick with the flu, I was in bed for 12 hours but I did not sleep for 12 hours as indicated.

  • Nope it’s a mistake  what the official statement of Garmin? Seems they missed out on this specific topic

  • I noticed too that on the hydration tile you can’t see the adjusted water goal after activities, only the initial goal. Also what’s with the rolling days of the week on some tiles. intensity minutes is static but steps and hydration change every day. I get that Intensity minutes is a weekly stat but it just looks ridiculous when all the other stats rolls. I want them all to be static.

  • WHAT ABOUT THOSE OF US WITH SIGHT ISSUES??? The writing is so tiny I can't even see it with my reading glasses on! The other was so easy and clear to read Pensive

  • Yes,  big issue. I use my phone at the gym and don’t take my reading glasses with me. Never had trouble with the old UI, can bare,y read this one.

  • Agree. The new garmin connect hime page is awful! Maybe created by people who don't use the features of the watch and prefer space consuming pictures and graphs!! At a glance is a joke ... you have to swipe to see other stats!

I tried it as Beta and switched back ... and now it is forced on us. Grrr
