Garmin Connect Mobile Updated Home Page

It’s terrible.

  • Sorry, I like the new interface with many options for my most useful behaviors.

  • And I respect that, there is no need to be sorry about it - it works for you because you can get what you need from it, many can not get the options they regularly used from this new format. That is the basis of the issue when Garmin states that is it completely customizable when it really is not.

  • I hadn't realized how different the app is on an android vs an apple until I asked my son to load it on his android phone and tested it out, I have an Apple 14pro. I still think the new connect is a downgrade from the previous format look of the app is quite significant from android to iOS.The tiles are so much smaller in the android version, most noticeably in the "At a Glance" section - almost half the size, this is ridiculous. On my phone I can't even see 4 full tiles in that section without scrolling, he could see 6+. Garmin you have not only failed in this update overall but you have really failed your iOS users.

  • Never change a running system! What is the advantage of the new layout? I don’t see any. The former layout was compact, simple and easy to understand.

Can you show a screenshot of how big the tiles are on the iohone?

On my phone I can't even see 4 full tiles

on my 15pro are up to 6 tiles visible without scrolling.
    20 tiles with scrolling.

  • You’re the only one I’ve seen that is happy with the update

Once I set up my home page per the FAQ, I'm happy with the update. Forums don't typically attract satisfied customers, so not surprised that those numbers are low. What I find interesting is way more people have viewed this thread than have viewed the pinned thread containing the FAQ. Not sure if that means anything, just something I've noted.

  • I have the same issue on my 14pro. The tiles are just huge and a waste of space. I don't have any accessibility functions on the phone turned on not do I have the font size enlarged.

  • This is the Garmin Connect Mobile iOS forum and the thread is called "Does anyone like the new homepage?". If somebody says that they switch to an Apple Ultra I assume that this is because of the home page and not because they are unhappy with their Garmin device.

There are a lot of reasons to choose an Ultra over any Garmin device. The webpage or iOS App is certainly not one of them. For exacttly the reason you mention: there are a lot of Apps and Trainingplatforms that give you much better access to your training data than Garmin has ever done.

Garmin has decided to change the content of their website and App. You should accept that and let it go. You should not care so much if people like or don't like it, but instead just switch to any device that you think fits your needs better. Without telling the whole world.

Feel free to ignore my posts going forward.
