Garmin Pay shows error

Garmin support suggested a factory reset procedure including uninstalling the connect app. That did the trick

I have the same issue. I have been using my card for month on Garmin Pay. Once the error popped up, I can't get rid of it. 
I already reinstalled the app, re-connected the watch, deleted and re-added the card. Still with the error. 

Do I need to factory reset the watch itself somehow?

Garmin send me a procedure to complete reset everything, including factory resetting the watch but also uninstalling the connect app. That solved the issue. I would indeed start by factory resetting the watch in various ways to see if it helps.

Read this before resetting , may save you some time and hassle. (until we get proper backup and restore)

Problem solved by factory resetting the watch. The app did not need to be reinstalled.

And it is back to error. So that seems rather useless to me, resetting the watch after every few payments. The bad thing, I don't know if it is the watch or my bank. I guess I'll wait for the next firmware update and try again.

I am experiencing the following issue on my venu 3: I successfully added my debit card to Garmin pay and I am able to pay in shops, however I often get an error message with a triangle. Restarting my watch solves the issue, but it is very ennoying to have to restart my watch every time I need to pay…

Any solution?

Interestingly, the error cleared without me resetting the watch. I'll try to see if there is a pattern. One thing that may be an issue. Normally my watch doesn't have access to wifi. I wonder if it needs wifi to check if the card is still valid?

I don't use any Apple device with my watch and this seems to be a watch problem, not a phone problem.
