Why can't activities from Zwift and other 3-party apps count towards Badges, VO2MAX estimat and other nice Garmin functions directly on the Garmin Connect.
Why can't it use the data directly from Zwift activity.?
Ex. if i use my edge1000 to record the activity when i'm on the hometrainer it doesn't get same elevation, distance and speed as the Zwift workout
seens it only counts how fast the hometrainer is rotating, watts from my power meter and Heartrate.
But it doesn't know the environment i'm doing the workout in, and therefore it doesn't know the distance i'm riding
Instead many are doing alot of work working getting around this problem so there activities looks like it is recorded on an Garmin device. (downloading FIT files and uploading again from Garmin device)
All this just make me like not wanting to use Garmin Connect and instead use another app for my training data.
even though i like the Garmin Connect app overview and i use alot of Garmin devices (ex. heartrate, watch, bike-computer)
it just demotivating to see that all the work i do just doesn't count because of it not being recorded on an Garmin device
Why do you want us to simultaneously record it on an Garmin device and upload incorrect data.
How is that better..?
