All of my activity history prior to July 1 2023 has disappeared from Garmin Connect.

I do not have more than one Connect account so that troubleshooting information does not apply. My watch does periodically disconnect from my account and when reconnected is treated as a new device- which I find odd. Either way, I don’t understand why the history would be deleted even if I was connecting a new watch. Any ideas?
