Garmin smart watch models and EMF radiation option of disconnecting Bluetooth to remove or is there airplane mode and example using my type of Garmin model smart watch?

Topic about Garmin smart watch models and EMF radiation option of disconnecting blue tooth to remove or is there aeroplane mode and example using my type of garmin model smart watch.

I have a type of older model Garmin model viovactive HR.

"I was on the Fit Bit fourm and found out that basically all there smart watches apart from one model do not allow, do not have an option aeroplane mode - I recently sold type of fit bit model I had after finding this out.

Are there types of Garmin models which allow aeroplane mode or discount from EMF G radiation.

Whilst writing this I see that there is a possibility for myself to do something such as: not allow bluetooth to sync on the Garmin watch (up to date) - I was wandering if I do this does it sort of mimic "aeroplane mode" on this model?

I am not sure becuase I see that if I try to track an activity e.g. running then it switches to automatically connecting to GPS data to give details such as distance - I am not sure if G wifi radiation is something that is always on with Garmin models

The reason for writing this post is basically trying to take steps to reduce my EMF exposure after finding out about negative effects of G radiation, would be helpful if anyone reads this and offers ideas.

Thanks for reading.

I was trying to upload a image of my watch

question:

If I do not put blue tooth sync on vivo active hr model does it still use G radiation? Yes or no

Are there type of Garmin models which have aeroplane model or option to turn of G radiation? The Hr doesn't look like it has aeroplane mode

Is there any other people posting stuff about G radiation and smart watch models on this fourm I wonder? 1141

  • I clicked on link you shared [How Often Do Fitness Devices Emit a Wi-Fi Signal? | Garmin Customer Support] I tried putting on the garmin app on my phone (putting on blue tooth on the device setting) to connect the device and upload to date - but then I am not sure how find setting you say "It can also easily be turned off by disabling auto upload or not adding a wifi network." ? my phone just uses Wi fi mostly but has 4G phone contract" end of sentence "Basically what I am trying to say is that I stopped using this watch because of being concerned about G/EMF radiation and wandering if there is a way just to use it without - If I turn blue tooth off in settings of the watch (does that mean it has no EMF/G radiation?) and just turn blue tooth off once in while (to update to the app) becuase G/EMF radiation is something which dissipates over distance/time so it is not a big deal if you turn on EMF devices(but having them continually run can start to cause problems?) " please help

  • Why is that?

To limit data access that is protected by GDPR

  • You can do a cabled sync with Garmin Express on a computer. Bluetooth and WiFi are not needed at all.

I got auto upload in the wifi settings on my watch.

  • Thanks. I am not sure where wifi settings on the watch version watch garmin are , maybe need to read over previous link you share to find out. So what you are saying is that I can use this garmin model I have without the actual garmin app on phone but just Garmin Express and then the watch will not use Blue tooth or wifi at all? Can you confirm this please?" 13 19 end of sentance

  • Maybe Garmin and this Garmin fourm website would be more popular if it didn't limit data protection. Me personally Tim I am , I think data protection is a good thing"

  • This was the old way of using the Garmin watches. They had to sync with Garmin Express to upload the data. It is still working and I usually do it a couple of times per month when I update the maps on my devices.

I suggest that you try it and see if that works for you.

Your watch got a limited memory so sync at least so often that the data isn't written: "7 timed activities, 14 days of activity tracking data"

  • Thanks again e7andy *accidentally clicked suggest this as answer button while trying to load this page?* I tried starting up the garmin express app on my PC laptop just now and it couldn't open -searched online and suggests to reinstall it, did that and it works. So what you are saying Andy is that if I sync through Garmin Express app only on my laptop it will not use Blue tooth or "Wifi/ mobile hotspot/data" on phone ? Should I just delete the garmin app on my phone? I tried putting the garmin app settings on phone to "no location data, blue tooth off (so can't even sync to app anymore) mobile data off - maybe I should show a print screen of my phone settings in this comment to help you visualize

Able to get this jpeg work

  • There is no harm in keeping Garmin Connect on the phone. It can be used for viewing your data that is synced to Garmin servers.

  • Thanks again. When I read [How Often Do Fitness Devices Emit a Wi-Fi Signal? | Garmin Customer Support] link before - it says about auto upload that it can be disabled, but I was trying to write that I can't seem to find the "auto upload" setting on the app phone version - I changed my app on phone to not sync blue tooth so now it cannot sync to the watch (so the app is basically useless not able to tell me stats) but I can sync the watch to the Garmin express application on my laptop ... do you get what I am trying to say here - is there a way to also be able to use the app on my phone periodically to be able to sync/update stats/blue tooth once in a while and not have it continually run? understand what I am trying to say? Should I show a picture so you understand what I am trying to get at here? end of sentance"

  • @e7andy When did you start using this fourm? How often do you use it now days?"
