Apple Activity Rings not updating with Garmin workouts

Do I get a price or award of some kind if that finding leads to a solution to that forever-problem? Just wondering

Why? If it solves the issue, wouldn't you be better off having the ring moving until a future fix/update addresses the issue? I do understand it’s a hassle, but I'm just glad to have the sync between the Garmin watch and the Apple activity rings working. Waiting for Garmin to do anything is just a waste of time, regardless of whether Garmin is slow to update or simply wrong.

It should be clear from the OP that the sync issues are related to Garmin watches alone, not considering any ownership or previous ownership of an Apple watch. OP mentions Fenix X to be specific.

I got it working just fine for the red Move ring, by using the proposed solution. As long as you have synced the data to Garmin Connect and iCloud before removing it locally from the device you will still have the data available for you.

But then I can just instead easily just open the fitness app on my AW to have the rings filled. Also I want to have the current setup to be able to tell the Garmin developers whether they fixed issue or not once they have the solution. There is an open bug that they are working on and I provides feedback for them
