Garmin Connect not syncing with Apple Health AT ALL

I see there is a similar thread where the weight does not sync - I have NOTHING syncing from GC to AH. I use it for sleep, HR, steps, activities etc etc (I use a 3rd party smart scale so the other thread doesnt relate to me).

Either way, around the same time, GC stopped talking to AH. Anyone else? Please help restore the connection!

  • I am looking for a fitness band and am tempted by Garmin devices. However, since Garmin Connect is not syncing anything with Apple Health any longer, Garmin can no longer be relied upon.

    IN the next few months, I am also due to renew a premium subscription for Tacx. Given Tacx is part of Garmin and Connect does not work and/or functionality is downgraded, it appears I need to look at the alternatives to Tacx. Zwift, here I come ....

  • The Garmin connect app just does not appear on Apple Health. Unfortunately, this may be a deal breaker for me. Too bad because the watch is great.

  • Same problem. After November 8 the Connect app stopped sending data to the Health app. I reinstalled Connect but no change. I'd been considering using Garmin's premium Tacx service for winter training, but that's not happening if they can't fix the syncing.

  • On the Tacx Premium service, I have been using it but since all activities are apparently only accessible via Garmin Connect, then it means I won't renew. Garmin preventing connections to other apps and services, by design or by error - means they cannot be trusted. Any views on alternatives to Tacx and Garmin gratefully received.

    By the way, the Tacx Premium software is rather good. Occasional lapses but it is useable, has been good for training and the Premium service allows a ride up Alpe d'Huez without the time and expense travelling to get there. As software, it is a huge improvement on previous Tacx software over the years. However, unless Garmin fixes their software, then Tacx must also go. A shame.

  • with latest update garmin connect it works
  • I downloaded the Connect update and it seemed to work. The only oddity is that there are now duplicate entries in Apple Health for a few weeks before Connect stop working. It's a minor complaint. The fix is appreciated—thanks Garmin!

  • Updated Connect this morning and so far so good with syncing to Apple Health.

  • Same problem which hasn’t improved after updating to iOS 16.3

    steps finally sync though after performing the following steps

    1. Close garmin connect app
    2. close Apple health app
    3. turn phone off then turn back on
    4. Turn off wifi (4G More reliable)
    5. Open garmin
    6. open Apple health
    7. turn airplane mode on/ off couple times
    8. make sure wifi is deactivated
    9. voila

    incredibly painful and steps that shouldn’t need to be taken. Please fix this syncing issue
