iOS 16 weather does not sync to wearables

Hi all,

have any of you found a fix for weather data not syncing to Garmin wearables for iOS 16 iPhones? I have tried just about everything but can’t get it fixed. If I pair my watch to an iOS 15 phone it immediately works, and if I downgrade my phone it works as well, so I know it’s an iOS 16 issue but unsure whether it’s on Apple’s side or Garmin’s.

    Mine started working randomly today. iOS has been asking “Allow Connect location data?” consistently once a week or so since the first beta. I always select ‘Allow Always’. Did it again yesterday, and today the weather finally started showing in the widget. iPhone 13 Pro, Forerunner 255S

    Wow, it finally works again. Steps taken:

    — removed developer profile and installed public beta profile for iOS 16 (don’t think this matters as it’s the same version)

    — rebooted iPhone and watch

    — removed watch from iPhone and Garmin connect

    — deleted and reinstalled Garmin connect

    — reboot phone and watch

    — pair watch to Garmin connect and phone

    — success 

    hope this helps anyone else who has this issue
