iOS 16 weather does not sync to wearables

Hi all,

have any of you found a fix for weather data not syncing to Garmin wearables for iOS 16 iPhones? I have tried just about everything but can’t get it fixed. If I pair my watch to an iOS 15 phone it immediately works, and if I downgrade my phone it works as well, so I know it’s an iOS 16 issue but unsure whether it’s on Apple’s side or Garmin’s.

I have a feeling it's something to do with the new weather API on iOS 16 as I also can't get it to work. Apple has now fully transitioned to using Dark Sky (which they bought) so there were some weather app changes. I guess we will have to wait for a Garmin Connect update...

Been running into the same issue. Haven’t figured out a fix. Beta 2 didn’t resolve it.

I’m tempted to try the beta, does everything else work with GC and syncing to your watch?

It's not. Are you on the iOS16 beta?

Yes, everything else works fine just the weather doesn't seem to work.

Turn your watch off and on again. If that won’t help, turn some activity on just to make a GPS on for a minute.
