Data for this activity could not be loaded - pull to refresh

IOS - getting this message for all activities. I have been using my Garmin and the iPhone app for years and have never seen this issue, although it has been reported multiple times in the forum (with no solutions). Any ideas?

App needs iOS 13 minimum. iPhone 6 iOS only updates to 12.5. I think this could be the reason. 2 options: wait to see if Garmin/apple tweak software or get a new phone.

I can see from a tcpdump in Wireshark that one of the destination ports is unreachable.

It may be they've had a security issue on that particular port.

Would not be surprising in the current climate...

There is workaround I forgot to mention.

Use a web browser and go to connect.garmin.com.

You are presented with a page to download the appropriate app from App Store or Google Play.

Tap on the three parallel bars to the left of the Connect logo

You can then login to your account and see your data and change things as usual

This will then update GC next time the app is opened

It's a bit clunky but it does work for the time being

Garmin FIX this problem, the activities recorded with your devices are independent of phones operating system (or give me a gift-card for buy a new phone).
Fortunaly there is STRAVA...

It would be swiping down on the screen to get the current data from Garmin servers to the app.

Garmin fixed it - the details for my workouts are loading now with iOS 12.5.5.
