Are the map overlays removed in training courses map?

Additional Info:
Selecting (in IOS connect app): more(...) / Training / Courses  and then after selecting a random course select the three dots in upper right corner and then select help screen. It states that "tapping the Map Layers icon gives you several options". The Map Layers Icon is no longer available in the latest version (4.52.0.21), Please restore the option. I find it very useful for creating or reviewing a course on my smartphone.

It's there on my android phone and iPad, but the iPad is running an older verson of Garmin Connect Mobile (4.42.1.3). Suggest opening a case with Garmin Support

Thanks for the suggestion. I reached out to Garmin support, but they referred me to Garmin Ideas. Now I have sent the request to Garmin Ideas. Fingers crossed.

I believe this is broken. As in, it was working, now it isn't. So, it should be an incident (case), not a request (idea). Especially considering it's on the android app and the web version.

I have the same problem on my iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS 15.4 and last Garmin Connect app 4.52.0.21.

I have the problem since some weeks now and the last version of Connect didn't solve the issue.

Very painful as I was using often the function to switch between map view and satellite view. Now I'm blocked with satellite view only. I'm no more able to view/hide kilometers marks on the course (that was possible with the same icon on the map that disappear).

And last but not least, in Garmin Connect when checking a training course, the display stops before the bottom of the screen (black space at the bottom of the iPhone screen). I have only noticed this in the Connect application when I want to consult a training course.

The problem was reported to Garmin support but they did not understand the problem obviously. I report a problem on the Garmin Connect app on the iPhone and they send me the link of an article explaining how to display the options of a course on the watch.... I answered with clarification but no additional answer from Garmin support since then.

Since the layer icon does not appear, you can't change the view to satellite, nor can you put the heatmap

So I have reported this problem with support and even shared some screenshots about where the map layers button is lacked. They told me they would look into it. That was 18 days ago.

Meanwhile I have found kind of a workaround to switch a map layer: After creating a new course in the connect app you will be able to see in the lower right hand corner a button that will give you access to the Map view. In there you can change the map type and/or the map details (popularity heatmap / Km markers). Once you have changed the settings it will remain on that view until you create another new course and reset or change the settings again.

Yes this feature must have been broken a couple of updates ago.
