Garmin Connect won't let me sign in

When I tap the sign in button i get a thing that says "Sorry, sign in attempt failed, try again later" and then it just loads endlessly. This is on a apple phone, and i can sign in on a computer, it only affects my phone for some reason

Cleared cache, total uninstall, reinstall with latest update, granted all permissions to app and same error. Finally was able to catch a screenshot.

*edit to include same results occur via wifi and mobile.

I just checked the validity of the SSL certificate for the domain static.garmincdn.com with multiple tools, and it looks all right everywhere:

It means the problem is likely on your phone, having very outdated root SSL certificates, Check out the manufacturer's support website for udates of the OS or at least of the SSL root cert.

Same issue two years later; I’m not able to sign into Garmin Jr on my iPad. Does anyone have a solution??
