ios iPhone Notifications - Want Just Call and Text Notifications on my Garmin

I've seen previous discussions about this and I am wondering if there has been any progress. The Garmin Instinct Solar is just about the perfect watch for me, except...

There is no way to choose which iPhone notifications you receive on your watch. I would like to receive only call and text notifications on the watch. The only choice is Only Calls, or All Notifications. This seems like a simple thing to fix. Why can you do this with Android and not iPhone? I have disabled some notifications on my phone but would prefer to keep the phone and watch notifications separate.

I've seen that this has been discussed in here for over a year. Has Garmin or Apple addressed this? Any chance this will be fixed? It's a real bummer!

Thank you but that does not deal with the issue of notifications on the watch being independent of notifications on the iPhone. This is possible with Android but not on iPhone.

Thank you but that does not deal with the issue of notifications on the watch being independent of notifications on the iPhone. This is possible with Android but not on iPhone.

This thread and answer from Garmin-AmberD is not the fix, but might help answer why this can work on an android but not Apple device.

Beyond that, you might consider contacting Garmin Support where they might be able to answer your original question regarding progress on this issue. Alternatively, you could create a request using the Share Ideas page.

Hopefully Garmin-AmberD can respond if there is anything to add to this.
