Move IQ duplicating tracked activities

I have just got a venu 2s after upgrading from a 4s to a venu and now this watch. It’s my third GAr in and I’ve never come across this issue  with any of my previous watches.
I have Move IQ activated on my app but it is duplicating my tracked activities so when I do a run and use my run function on my venu 2, Move IQ tracks the activity as well and doubles my intensity minutes. Very annoying if you want accurate intensity minutes.
Has this happened to anyone else and to you know how to fix it? I have Move IQ turned off for now but I would like to be able to use this function when I’m not tracking my activity.

  • Same here on my Tactix Delta. Will have to turn off Move IQ...

  • Do this check because I don't think it will actually duplicate the intensity minutes. Or at least it doesn't seem to be on my FR245. I noticed the duplicated activities too, and came to this forum to fix the problem a few days ago. I've been deleting the Move IQ events because I thought they were duplicating and I also changed the intensity minute setting from automatic to instead use specific HR zones. I just looked at the intensity minutes from this morning's run, and sure enough, the Move IQ event is there right alongside the tracked workout, with almost identical timing and metrics, and they both show the same number of intensity minutes, BUT if you add the intensity minutes from each activity, you do not get the total given in the summary at the top below the graph. So, it seems that both activities will show up, but it's smart enough to know that only one should count for the same time period.

  • Thanks a million. I’ll try that :)

  • I also get duplicate activities: the one which I registered with my Garmin Fenix 6 and the exact same duplicate from Move IQ  automatically. How to turn off Move IQ??

  • On my watch it is Settings->Activity Tracking->Move IQ.

  • Not for me anyway, my Venu 2 still duplicates activity if move iq is on. I have it turned off but I would like to be able to use the function.

  • ok thanks for the update. My Fenix 6S has been doing this too started this week.

  • They show as duplicate, but the “move IQ moderate and vigorous minutes” do not add to the total intensity minutes for the day. Therefore, they don’t double your total minutes. Do a test: If you add only the intensity minutes of the activities (not including the move IQ one’s) it should match your total minutes. Then try adding the move IQ ones only; it should be virtually the same as well as this is an approximate measurement as the watch is trying to guess what you’re doing.

  • I did. But it's not. I need to count the activity and the move iq to get the total of that day.
