Since the last update I can not pair my iPhone with connect. Other apps connect. Ideas?

Since the last update I can not pair my iPhone with connect. Other apps connect. Ideas?

  • Hi! Do you mean you can not open the Garmin app? Can you be a bit more specific on what you mean or are you referring to the watch itself, if so what watch do you have? 

  • Hi, sorry that really wasn't very informative but I was hoping that since the last update other users had experienced the same problem. I can not use my garmin connect app. My phone doesn't connect anymore. IPhone 8 and s62. My other apps golf and connectiq connect. I am attributing the problem to the last update. 

  • Meanwhile the problem has been a knowledged by support and an update was ready this morning. Thx for the help offer. :))

  • I am having the same issue. I can’t get my iPhone X and garmin 945 to connect. It is beyond frustrating since I get recently paid big bucks to upgrade to the 945

  • Hey there! Are you getting an error? Can you be sure both the App and the watch are up to date. Then following these steps please:

    • Open the Garmin Connect Mobile App,
    • Tap more on the bottom right, then tap Garmin devices
    • Tap on the device name
    • Tap the 3 dots on the upper right-hand corner and select remove. Close the app
    • Open the iPhone settings, go to Bluetooth
    • Tap the i icon next to the name and select forget the device.
    • Power phone completely down then turn it back on
    • While phone is turning on, please put the device in pair mode by going to the settings on the watch then phone, Bluetooth pair smart phone
    • Open the Garmin Connect mobile app and add device
  • The message I get in connect is “searching...we are having some trouble locating your device” and it won’t pair. Everything as far as I can tell is up to date and I have followed all the solutions offered by garmin.

    my garmin 945 also doesn’t show in the “my devices” under Bluetooth settings on my iPhone. 

  • The device is not suppose to pair in the Bluetooth settings. The watch needs to be in pair mode first then you can open the Garmin App and add the device.
