Garmin won’t pair with whoop strap

I was paired all last week but on this past Sunday it unpaired and I haven’t been able to pair them since. Anyone else have these issues?

  • I had that problem with Zwift and Whoop, so it may not be limited to a Garmin bug.

  • Don’t tell me the steps to pair a whoop strap with Garmin. I’ve been doing that for years. It suddenly stopped working . PLEASE FIX THIS!

  • Did you verify the battery?

  • No how do you verify the battery? It’s a Garmin fênix 6 pro

  • I meant your Whoop, of course. If the battery of your Fenix 6 was dead, you would not see anything on the display.

  • The whoop has almost full charge

  • I’m having the same problem described with Whoop 4.0 and Garmin 1030.

It looks like thé successfully paired Garmin keeps dropping the Whoop signal every other second. So it looks like the HR is flashing.

How can this issue be resolved?

  • This is happening to me as well. Garmin 1030+ with Whoop 4.0 band. Garmin HR field has just started to toggle between valid HR and 0.  Back and forth, back and forth all ride long. Been using this for months prior. Tried deleting and reading sensor. No effect.

  • So ... For me... Short answer, try "Reboot Device".

    Long answer:

I ran Strava app on my phone and noticed same issue as with Garmin, ergo, for me it was Whoop issue and not head unit.  I was out for a walk and tried this on Whoop app on phone:  Click bottom of screen (where % and time and connectivity icons are).  Click "Advanced" upper part of screen.  I'm on firmware: 41.11.4.017.2.1.0.  Checked for Firmware update (i.e. clicked "Firmware check" - scroll down to it).  Was already on latest.  So under that is "Reboot Device".  Clicked on that.  Waited a bit (not very long actually) and ... HR was working on Strava App.  Got back home, just tried with Garmin 1030+, it's now working!  Hooray.  Good luck.

  • Regarding intermittent problem, I was having the same issue of intermittent zeroes using Whoop 4.0 with Garmin 1030+.  I recommend clicking on "Reboot Device" on Whoop app on phone.  That did the trick for me.
