Connect 4.37 no longer syncing with with Apple Health.

This morning (I’m in Europe), 13. Nov 2020, Garmin Connect had updated to v4.37 overnight.

Now Connect will sync with my Approach S60 and my Index Smart Scale, but not with Apple Health - and what’s more, all the previous data for the last few years have been deleted from Apple Health as well. The data is in Connect, but not in Health.

iOS version 14.1

I can, on the opposite, confirm I still have the exact same problems with this version

Only last month updated. They lost every data older than a month.

  • I can confirm that metrics are now syncing as expected but only the past two months. I, unlike you have over two years of data.

My data has still not been loaded. Lost from 2016 -> October 2020 from Apple Health.

Granting "Write Access" doesn't actually write anything if it is completely erased after an upgrade.

  • For me it's just one month, from Oct 23, and steps and cycling distance are still missing

Really, check again... They will get deleted before being “synced” again. That’s not really what the word syncing means to me..

  • I have followed this thread the last couple of days as I also saw problems syncing with Apple Health.

And I was really happy that Garrin said they were going to fix it in upcoming update.

But I have 4.37.1.5 now and using IOS 14.2 and syncing is still not working.

Hope you can continue to look at this issue and fix it soon, Garmin.

I also hope, they're going to fix it and retrieve all of our previous data : several years of data !

  • Wow, Garmin support wrotes: fixed with update GC

    Very idiot

  • Seems to be working for now, but it only restored 30 days of data and I’m guessing that Garmin won’t be restoring the rest of the data. Guessing there’s no way to export and import the data manually?

Garmin obviously don’t test the updates very well though as now the weather widget on my watch has stopped working. Will have to be careful with updates in the future

Can confirm that new entries are not deleted, but only the last 30 days of data is synced. I have 9 months missing. If we assume Garmin will not fix this, do we know of a way to manually export from the website and import that data into Apple HEalth?
