I finished a run this morning & pressed the stop button but forgot to press save on my Garmin 45.
Run not recorded but can I get it back ?

Then there is a chance it is still on your device.
I have no experience with successfully fixing a golf activity. Might need someone else to assist. Meanwhile, I suggest at least reporting this issue to Garmin Product Support.
Did you press discard rather than save? If you pressed discard, there is usually very little hope, but with the same amount of luck required to win the lottery, you might have success. Check out this thread and answer - Retrieving Activity discarded or deleted on Vivoactive 4
No, I only pressed stop to end the run. I saw my run time & my ‘calories used’ but then I got talking. It was only when I went to view the run data on my phone & couldn’t find it that I realised I’d forgotten to press save on the watch.

Likely it is corrupt, but you can try to do a manual upload to Garmin Connect Import Data page. If you get an error, zip the file and attach it to this thread. We can look and try to repair it.
Thanks for your help. I’ll try that.
Hi I have this issue and the files will not upload. Twice now
LittleFish_Bigpond, there is a problem with the file being corrupt. Attach it to this thread. We can look to see if it is repairable.

Hello all, new to Garmin. I went out of town and did a run that had some amazing hills on it, and used them for marathon training. I forgot to save my workout and so I tried uploading the .fit file but it only shows that it goes half way and then stops. Can anyone help? I compressed and attached here.
Please attach the file, not a URL to the file.
I tried that from the directions above, when I click Image/video/file, there is no Upload button. I'm attaching the dropbox file.
