Disconnection and Connection Constantly Happening

I have a Fenix 6 paired to an iPhone XS Max. Since the last update on the Fenix, the watch and phone don’t like being any further apart than a couple of metres before the watch starts showing disconnected and shortly afterwards connected? To the point if I have the phone in a thigh pocket and fold my arms the watch disconnects. Very frustrating. More so at night when it vibrates every time I roll away from my phone on the bedside table. Any suggestions / fixes greatly accepted Turning the notification off seems a bit pointless if it isn’t connecting properly

Issue seems to be more common on iOS for some reason. No definitive answer as the solutions can be different depending on the underlying problem.

Make sure you have the latest Garmin Connect for iOS version…

My watch keeps disconnecting and would not reconnect unless I move it from Bluetooth and install it again. And it keeps doing this I tried everything remove app install app add it from app all the steps…

Issue seems to be more common on iOS for some reason. No definitive answer as the solutions can be different depending on the underlying problem.

Make sure you have the latest Garmin Connect for iOS version.
Check the Location settings for the Connect app: iPhone Settings > Connect > Location > Always
Make sure you have the latest software version for your watch by syncing with Garmin Express.
Unpair/pair with your phone using every step from this video, including restarting your phone and Garmin device.
Take a look at this support document to see if it could be your issue: Pairing Failed Message When Adding a Device

If still an issue after all of this, I'd recommend contacting Garmin directly starting from the Garmin Support Center. Suggest using phone or chat for the most responsive experience. There might be other resolutions, including a warranty exchange of your fenix 6.

Thank you. Three years later your post turned out to be totally relevant. The constant connect/disconnect cycling was driving me nuts, particularly when I am wearing the watch and the phone is less than a foot away. Your suggestion made perfect sense and was a simply accomplished task.

While other devices remain connected to my phone while I move around the house, Garmin watch (D2 Air X10) however continuously connects and disconnects.

the last few days the problem has got worse. I am sitting within 20 cm of my phone and the same is happening.

The problem is not with the watch. It's with your settings in the Garmin app on your phone.

SOLUTION:
1. Open the Garmin Connect app on your phone.
2. Naviagate to devices and click on your watch in the device list
3. Click "Sounds & Alerts"
4. Switch off "Bluetooth Connection Alert"
