Disconnection and Connection Constantly Happening

I have a Fenix 6 paired to an iPhone XS Max. Since the last update on the Fenix, the watch and phone don’t like being any further apart than a couple of metres before the watch starts showing disconnected and shortly afterwards connected? To the point if I have the phone in a thigh pocket and fold my arms the watch disconnects. Very frustrating. More so at night when it vibrates every time I roll away from my phone on the bedside table. Any suggestions / fixes greatly accepted  Turning the notification off seems a bit pointless if it isn’t connecting properly
