Since the last update for Garmin Connect on iOS, the calories do not hit on the Apple Health app anymore. The exercise minutes still do. Get me data dependent and then give me issues!

I thought that I have the same issue, but for me it seems it is more related to this one: https://forums.garmin.com/apps-software/mobile-apps-web/f/garmin-connect-mobile-ios/157232/ios-apple-health
Maybe you got the same issue with calories being counted at the end of the day?
Before the last update of the Garmin Connect App (and maybe related backend changes) all calories were immediately available in Apple Health and visible in Activities on the iPhone and Apple Watch.
My wife updated the App this morning and she has now the same issue
Yeah, I know although for me I always had to open the Connect app and this allowed it to write recent activities to Apple Health and Activities apps. Yesterday I saw that although my recent rides are shown in the Activities app, calories count from the rides are not added to the total count. I was kinda mad because I hoped for the monthly challenge badge (200% of daily Moves). But today morning I received badge, so I checked the Move ring and it seems that calories were added corectly. But this is extremely wierd behaviour. And annoying. Must be something with the latest update to the Connect app as you mention.
Same issue here using Connect version 4.32.0.30. (deleted because not related to issue)
I'm not sure how someone would even manage to break that making a small update, but it's incredibly frustrating for it to abruptly stop working, and even more frustrating that there isn't a good way to contact Garmin to report the problem.
Yeah, that seems to be Garmin's default response any time someone has a problem with Health or Activity. If a bunch of people start having a problem and the only thing changed was the Garmin software, that's a Garmin problem.
It's embarrassing that they can't even acknowledge the problem, especially on an advertised feature. They don't seem particularly interested in creating repeat customers or customers who actually *want* to buy their products.
