Sharing photo with stats is not working

So I recently ran into issues when trying to share a photo with stats on phone to instagram or whatsapp or even saving on drive.

I select a photo and it adds the stats; I select the app to share, opens up the windows I can see the picture/stats and then it just disappears and it goes back to the garmin connect app.

And a message saying "something went wrong, unable to share"

I have the same same problem, nothing helps, sharing a photo with stats not work to any target application - whatsapp, email, ...

I tried to duplicate this issue, but the sharing photo with stats feature worked on both my android and iOS devices when sending via email. I know this doesn't help much, but wanted to make sure this wasn't a universal system-wide issue.

Sharing via email not works on my site. However i found that the picture with stats and a sticker is successfuly generated on filesystem, so can be shared from there ;-)

/Internal storage/Android/data/com.garmin.android.apps.connectmobile/files/

I am able to use the sharing photo with stats feature.

But I was not able to load the photos not activate the camera.e

I checked app permissions.

I have the same issue. It used to work and then all of a sudden it just stopped working. I go to chose the photo and it just returns back to the stats menu. It's driving me INSANE !!!

I have tried absolutely everything including uninstalling and reinstalling the app but nothing seems to work. I cannot share a photo with stats like I used to be able to. Ever since the ransom attack where Garmin was down for a week, the app will not let me share a photo with stats. Every time I go to pick a photo, the app just reboots itself and brings me back to the same menu. I have checked all my permissions and that is not the issue! Please help. This is driving me INSANE!

Apparently the users with the issue never get that far as they are unable to select the picture to add stats or stickers. See this thread:
