Hello Everyone, I wanted to let you know that this has been resolved in a recent update to the Garmin Connect App (4.29.2) and you should be able to download the update in the next few hours.
I just talked to the german hotline. There are already 11 tasks about this issue worldwide. I will be added to this list as well. The more you report to the hotline about this issue, the faster the problem…
Updated app has resolved issue :)
So the additional steps resolved it. After the update, the app couldn't see that my bluetooth was on and wouldn't sync with the watch.
I removed the app, hard reset the phone, then installed the app again.
It is now resolved and happily syncing.
Likewise to the IanFirla reply below...it was a bit of a faff and I had to delete and reinstall the app twice and turn off the watch a couple of times and "forget" and reconnect the device on the bluetooth on my phone but eventually they started talking to each other !
