Body battery doesn’t work anymore. I’m always completely low and that isn’t true. What can be wrong?

Body battery doesn’t work anymore. I’m always completely low and that isn’t true. What can be wrong?

  • It’s quality and not quantity you need. You need to look at your heart rate, stress levels and resting heart rate throughout the day and night to build a complete picture of what’s going on in your body. Compare these to external factors such as illness, medication, lifestyle, mood etc then make changes and see if they have a positive impact.

  • You really mean this is correct?

I feel like I have had a good night sleep

  • You have high stress levels during your sleep and a high resting heart rate, these appear to be impacting your score.

Stress is detected in particular from HRV (heart rate variability) these are the beat to beat changes in your heart rate. Your stress levels seem to indicate that your Sympathetic nervous system is activated (fight or flight) and not your Parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest).

Your readings would indicate someone with high anxiety levels, suffering from stress or burnout or other illness(s). If this is the case, try an hour of mediation and mindfulness then check your stress over that period. I’d expect your stress levels to be lower and your body battery to increases.

  • Now I have slept 3 hours and see the line:

  • Again it’s all stress, no rest. Just because you sleep, doesn’t mean your body is calm and not stressed that’s why I suggested focused meditation for one hour. Focusing on calm, relaxation and low heart rate then see results.

Look at mine for today so far, you can see periods of rest and stress which affect the body battery.

  • Has anyone found a resolution to this?  Mine was working fine for the first several months and then all of a sudden my battery shows 5 or so all the time. I liked the info body battery provided but it’s is useless to me at this point.

  • I don't trust recovery time, sleep data, or battery battery.   Trying to comprehend garmin results is the only thing that stresses me out.

  • I have the same problem too. STACK TO 5 Body Battery

  • It is really strange but it looks like this behavior is still present and I might have the answer.

If you start the activity, for me it was treadmill, and you stop it and choose Resume Later (but you don't), then your watch might produce that bug.

I did that and next morning my Body Battery was 5%. It assumed I hadn't slept at all. Sleep Score was missing. Luckily I went to gym again that day and wanted to treadmill a bit. Saw the activity there as soon as I pressed GPS (activity). That means I didn't see the list of the activities but I went straight to yesterday's activity. Once I finished and saved that my Connect App recorded the activity and next night all was normal. Body Battery recharged, sleep score available again.

    Hope this helps.

  • You mention a bug on reinstall. I'm curious if there is a fix for that? I have been wearing my Venus Sq for two years. It often sinks to low levels. I have repeatedly reset it as my fix. The body battery is then much more "accurate" for me (?).

Now I'm seeing these comments and realizing what I've learned about stress and how that factors into the algorithms and that Al's with the low results I've seen.

Please advise if there's a fix for the bug.
