Body battery doesn’t work anymore. I’m always completely low and that isn’t true. What can be wrong?

  • Is it low as in a constant flat line, or just lower than you’d expect it to be? I believe it takes into account your length of sleep, activity and stress levels  so those metrics could be impacting your score.

  • I have to reinstall the app again and again to make it work. It can’t be right?
    The first picture is before the reinstatement. And the second is after.
    Hope you are going to help me.

  • The dotted line in the second screen shot means it’s estimating your body batter. Things to check;

    1. Is you heart rate monitor working and taking consistent readings? Body battery requires this for it to calculate the score.

    2. Is your device tracking stress levels? You can also click Vis Stress label on the screenshot to have it overlay on top. Again body batter requires stress readings to calculate correctly.

    High Stress and High HR will result in a low Body Battery.

    3. Are you wearing the device consistently? The Body Battery can only work with consistent readings, especially during sleep. During sleep a low HR and Stress levels will result in a greater Body Battery reading.

  • I have exactly the same issue since the last software update. Sort it out please Garmin

  • I do all the things above, but still I have to reinstall the app and start all over to get right readings!

  • Again I start from scratch. Look at my pictures

  • Looking at your recent pictures, I don’t believe there is a problem.

    Forget the after picture. The dotted line is only an estimate and prob a bug from doing a reinstall.

    The first picture is accurate your body battery substantially decreased when you had a lot of stress. It then increased a lot over a 3 hour period when you had low stress. These periods of low stress are not long enough to recharge you, you need more calm and lower heart rate. Your score of 25 is accurate based on what I see.

    Look at your heart rate and resting heart rate each day, I imagine they are high. Either you are a very anxious person, who is stressed and does not have refreshing sleep, OR you exercise too much without rest days..

  • Look at mine as an example. Notice the longer period of low stress and how it increases, then notice the high stress early morning and the impact it has.

  • I have slept nearly 14 hours
