Every time I restart my phone I have to Login In and Reconnect Devices

Running iOS 13.2.2. Connect App is updated to 4.24.2.2.

For the last week every time I turn on my iPhone I have to re-Log In to Connect and reconnect all my devices (Fenix 5x & Vivosport.) Is this an issue with a Garmin update or a Apple Update? I have deleted the App and re-installed it. Still the same issue.

    1. Same for me with my vivomove 3s, I thought the latest update was meant to fix bugs. It’s driving me crazy!!!
  • Same for my 735XT

New update same effing problems. Phone app still logging out and all the hassle of signing back in every day!!!!

New viviactive 3 watch same crap app issues

  • After the latest 4.26 (i think) i did two restarts of my phone and it works dont know if its a coincidence...

  • Actually no history lost despite of June 2019 - there is suddenly only data for few days existing - frankly do not know, if this is caused by the current issue or was already caused by something previously. Nevertheless the reconnection issue after iPhone restart is annoying, Interestingly the app is asking me to provide lots of details, and afterwards to connect the device, which is not found and only after cancelling the last step suddenly all the data of my Vivoactive 3 is here again and everything looks fine. Very annoying.

The advice I had from Garmin support was to skip the set up part after signing back in. This did work with all data was stored including my preferences and it also enabled me to find my device and sync it. They told me they are aware of the issue and are trying to fix it having originally said they weren't aware. I have been added to a list of people having issues so if you haven't all done so already, I suggest logging the fault directly with them to get you on the 'list'. I updated to the latest version of the app and I have only had to log in once since in the last 4days so things might be looking up! Good luck everyone!

I loved the Garmin but when you have to login and go through the whole connection process every morning... It's just not a great idea that they do not provide any update on this. Now I've bought a Fitbit...

I have the same problem even with the latest FW on my FR945 and the latest iOS Version of GCM on my iPhone 11pro. But after the reconnect procedure both devices stay connected.

But I found out the following: if you close the app on the iPhone (swipe up to open background apps and close GCM completely) before you shutdown/power off the iPhone everything will work without the reconnect thingy after the restarted the phone.
I think that shutting down the phone without closing the app before doesn‘t write some files in the correct way so the app thinks it was installed for the first time.

Maybe this helps some of you.
