Unable to Sync, Weather Stuck. IOS 13.2, GCM 4.24.1.

New thread for latest GCM.

After installing, everything works initially.  But give it a few hours and you will once again get sync errors, and also notice that your weather is stuck.  No updates to it or the temperature.

I went through all the steps needed to install this new update.

Uninstalled GCM

Forgot Watch in Bluetooth

Rebooted phone and watch.

Installed everything again.

Initially you will think it works, but just give it time.  Same old  problems, nothing fixed.  Honestly, do they even test this stuff.

I'm back to doing a WiFi sync to get things back in order.

  • After returning 2 Fenix 6x Pro's because of various issues, and my 3rd on the way, i'm back to wearing my Apple Watch 5, and want to know what?  No problems and it JUST WORKS.  I'm starting to think I don't need a $800 watch that doesn't work, just for longer battery life and a more rugged build.

I'm fine throwing it on my charger on my desk for 20 minutes when I get to work.

Totally frustrated and fed up with Garmin's quality spiraling downward the past few years, mainly the software development team (I use the word team loosely).

  • I own an apple watch 5, but I need a professional workout program and let's not compare them. Me to returned a phoenix 6 titanium because the oximeter sensor didn't work and i agree that garmin software team is under any criticism, unfortunately!

  • I returned one because the firmware caused all kinds of problems from HR to Music.  The 2nd because the Oximeter stopped working.  I think it's all caused by junk firmware/software.

  • it seems that partially it was also Apple's fault for closing applications in the background from 13.0 up. lucky that they had enough complaints to solve the problem. now with ios 13.2.2 and gcm 4.24.2.2 and with the clock update to version 5.30 everything has returned to normal (garmin marq captain)

  • I confirm that with iOS 13.2.2 the Bluetooth sync connection is much more reliable. So definitely there was work to do in Apple’s side.

My steps are syncing to connect but not to my step challenge groups. Since 13.2.2 update today.
