My watch weather app doesn’t display weather data. It only shows a display of “waiting for data”. When I got the watch it worked. Now it does not. How do I remedy this?

It isn't just you or your watch. 6x Sapphire here and I am having the same problem. Resets might fix it for 1x and then its back to doing the same thing. Waiting on a fix from the developers.
I’d encourage all users to log support tickets.
A Garmin support person told me earlier today that there had been no reports of this issue...thats despite lots and lots of people on here and on Twitter…
Had the same issue pop up for me - Garmin Support had me remove the device from Garmin Connect, and re-pair/reconnect the device. I'll say I had NO faith that would do it, but it solved my issue. And…
Really frustrated with this. Having the same issue as well. Have now relied on a different WF that displays weather so I don’t have to force sync my watch with Garmin Connect just to get the weather updated.
turns out even after the the latest update, weather app doesn’t update at all.
where as before I would get infrequently get the weather widget to work it now is stuck with the “waiting for data” error.
Ditto. It’s been over a month with this issue.
My watch was updated to ver 15.10 a week ago and the issue still remains, you mind verifying which update you have on your watch?
My watch was also updated to version 15.10. I'm not sure how but my weather started working again.
I currently have this “waiting for data” issue with the weather app. (It might have started with the latest Connect update for me...) Reinstalling app gets me one weather update, then stops working again. Very annoying!
-iPhone 6S
-Garmin Connect 4.26
-Fenix 6X sapphire 5.0.0
Updated troubleshooting:
I checked the ”App diagnostics” in the app and noted the below line under “DEVICE REGISTERED”:
weatherSetting: NO,
My wife, for whom the weather widget is working, had “weatherSetting: YES,” in the corresponding page...
No idea if or how this could be adjusted though...
