Multiple Errors in Apple Health sync

I know there are lots of Apple Health threads from the past on this forum, but I haven't seen either of these.  Two issues:

1.  Walking + Running Distance is wayyy off.  I get one data point from Garmin every night at 10:59pm (I'm on CST, FWIW).  Some days recently Garmin wrote 65+ miles, multiple days in a row, to Apple Health.  When I open the mobile Connect app, the data is correct (around 10 miles).  I understand my iPhone is also writing little chunks of distance all day, but I'm referring to the Garmin data source, where there is one data point -- from Garmin Connect -- at 10:59pm showing 65.5 miles.  This happens almost every day, and this issue has been true for YEARS (no exaggeration).

2.  Resting Heart Rate.  Is this new?  Last week I started noticing that Garmin Connect is writing RHR to Apple Health.  Great!  However, it is not working.  No matter when I check, there is only one data point from Garmin, showing only my most recently daily reading.  For example, my RHR was 48 yesterday.  Apple Health showed one reading for 48bpm last night on Aug 27.  Today, that reading is gone, and the only data point is Aug 28, showing my RHR for today, which is 54bpm at the moment.  I want a daily reading!

Is anyone else seeing these issues?  I love the idea of Apple Health, but Connect does not sync its data very effectively.  Please fix, Garmin!
