Auto Start LiveTrack - not functioning

Found this with the new 4.18 update.

Previously from the menu I could activate the auto feature, back out and it would save that preference, then the app would auto track with each start of my Edge. Now after the update, I turn on the feature along with selecting the Strava beacon option, back out and the changes made are not saved.

To get the auto to work, I've found that I have to keep the menu open with buttons activated, then start my ride.

What is the point of selecting auto start if the app/menu has to be open on the phone at the same time? Defeats the purpose....

Has anyone else run into this, or have a possible work around?

With latest update LiveTracks always tries to start a session and 80% of the times it works. Yesterday it didn’t despite having that phone on my arm as usual with LTE coverage.

Auto Live Track is broken.  Garmin said they fixed it with the last update, but it did not.  Now they say wait till the next update.  I am losing all confidence in their ability to problem solve anything in a timely manner.  All they do is ask for more and more data but nothing changes.  If there was another tracking program to use, I would ahve gone to it a long time ago.  Am I frustrated, you bet.  I paid premium dollars for my watch and I want it to wrk properly.  This has been broken for months.  Garmin, get your act together.

Autostart is also greyed for both my 810 and Vivoactive 3 (connected or not) out when Strava Beacon is selected (on top of the Beacon option not being saved)...perhaps it is part of the same issue?
